Hidalgo Graphic License Plates, 1998-present

13: Hidalgo

Hgo Mex #HHS3770
Hidalgo undated passenger issue (1998 issue). Nice plate from Hidalgo, with the state shape to the left and the green and red bands of the state government logo (duplicated at the lower right) at the right.
Hgo Mex #HJF-72-15
Hidalgo undated passenger issue (2002 issue). Interesting plate from Hidalgo, featuring a green whirlpool-type effect in the background. The plate features the slogan "Cautivará tus sentidos," or "Captivate your Senses." Early plates on this base had the slogan in white. Hidalgo is Lucky #13 alphabetically, as seen by the number near the bottom left.
Hgo Mex #HJU-72-15
Hidalgo undated passenger issue (2003 issue). Here's a slightly revised version of the Hidalgo plate, with the slogan changed from white to black, presumably for visibility reasons. The plate remains the same otherwise. The matching numbers between this plate and the one above are an odd coincidence that I didn't notice until proofing a change to this page. Cool!
Hgo Mex #HKV-58-47
Hidalgo undated passenger issue (2006 issue). 2006 issue from Hidalgo, featuring the state seal in the center. The new slogan "Juntos Contribuyendo Hidalgo Crece" ("Contributing Together Hidalgo Grows") is included below. This plate also has the overprinted "MEXICO" in silver letters over the entire serial.
Hgo Mex #HMY-74-66
Hidalgo undated passenger issue (2013 issue). This graphic was introduced in 2013 and features an image of the state shape in the background as well as the government logo and state seal at the top. Also included is the slogan "Tierra de Trabajo" ("Land of Work.") This issue is one of a couple newer Mexican issues to include a QR code. In this case, the code brings up the state's license plate lookup website, presumably as a method of quickly checking the plate's validity.
Hgo Mex #HMC-331-A
Hidalgo undated passenger issue (2018 issue). New national standards were established by Mexico's Secretary for Communications and Transport starting in 2017, resulting in a flood of new issues. These standards dictate the placement of graphic elements on the plates, mostly restricted now to the top and bottom of the plate. Hidalgo released this issue in 2018 with colorful graphic elements at the top and a traditional state and government seal arrangement at the bottom. The state switched to the new ABC-123-D format on this issue.
